I am a muslim, I was hurt to hear you will burn Quran! How do you feel if we Muslims will set a bible burning day?

hi Abdul, sorry for that, but personally, I as a christian, I am not agree on this Koran burning day, its an act of hatred , the purpose of Terry Jones is not godly, its an act of hatred and will hurt Muslim.

i would like first to reply to those 10 points that were mentioned above !

1. Yes, Holy Quran denies that jesus is a son of god and denies that god has/had son at all, on the other hand Holy Quran (which is the word of god) that jesus Christ was human and was a prophet send by god and his birth was a miracle that Allah (god) blessed him with, and that his mother was really a virgin and never committed adultery.

2. Holy Quran was delivered to prophet muhammed peace be upon him by angel Gabriel who was ordered to do so by Allah (God)

3. That is completely untrue, Holy Quran stated complement Christians as in surat Al-Ma’edah 005:082 ((and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, “We are Christians”: because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.)) and prophet muhammed peace be upon him said many times: ((there are no advantages to arabs over non-arabs but with their belief))

4. That is also not true, the Holy Quran was written while the prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) was alive and there are a lot of muslim SAHABAH (people who believed in prophet muhammed while he is alive and saw him) wrote Holy Quran by the orders of prophet muhammed such as Abdullah ibn Abbas, Abdullah ibn Amr, Abdullah ibn Al-Zubair, Huthaifah ibn Al-Yaman, Mo’ath ibn Jabal, Anas ibn Malik, Obay ibn Ka’ab, Thabit ibn Qais, Mo’aweyah ibn Abi-Sofyan and many more that I can’t remember

5. Also that is not true, all of wars that prophet muhammed was either self-defence or to engage with people who already had wars with before

6. Laws were stated by Allah (god) and no one can put more justice rules than Allah for he is the most just !
Islam does not conflict between the place to worship god (either Masjid or Church or other) and state

7. Islam is compatible with democracy and human rights the most, if some people explained it wrong, that’s not our problem !

Allah (god) said in Quran ((004.034 Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because God has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband’s) absence what God would have them guard. )) that puts more responsibly on men than women,

8. Because it’s the right religion, Islam doesn’t for people to be muslims .. but once you are a muslim you must commit life commitment

9. That’s not right and you can see many sections in Quran to praise jesus as a prophet and a messenger of god, and praises to his pure mother .. if prophet muhammed made this up shouldn’t he praise his father or mother in Quran ? which never in Quran at all !!!!

10. In Holy Quran Allah (god) says: ((060.008 God forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for God loveth those who are just.

060.009 God only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for (your) Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support (others) in driving you out, from turning to them (for friendship and protection). It is such as turn to them (in these circumstances), that do wrong.))

As an atheist, I generally don’t bother involving myself in religious issues, and I only found this website when I was searching on what all the ruckus on the “Quran burning day”. Where I live (Malaysia), the majority population is Muslim, although there is a sizeable Christian community. While I generally take no side of the fence, I’d have to say that Quran burning is taking things way too far – I’m not trying to vindicate Christianity or saying that 9/11 and all the crap that’s happened since is justifiable; they ain’t, but bashing on an entire religious community just because of a few bad apples is just ridiculous. Just because the Ku Klux Klan was formed by Americans doesn’t prove that all Americans are extremist asses, does it? I find it very hard to believe that many of the perceeding comments are so hate full. There a few points I’d like to make. As a Christian women my family follows the Holy Bible command that women are not to be above a man. In my church wemon are not allowed to vote or hold an office on Church Council. We are also taught to love our neighbor ( not just who we choose to love)and we are told that if someone hits you to turn the other cheek so that they can hit you again. I like to believe that all religona can and should live peacefully together with an opening for us both to rally learn and understand our prospective beliefs. After all we may have more in common than you think. I think that the Quran Burning is being done by an extremist Christian just as 9-11 was carried out by extremist Muslim, neither of which up hold the values of what the extremist’s believe. One last thought by calling all American wemen slut’s is not the way to peace. We are all Americans no matter what your religon is that is what is great about our beloved country we have the freedom to worship and associate with anyone we choose. I will end this by saying insults and foul language is an insult to anyone who reads it. I don’t know where everyone is at on this issue but for me and my church we are going to our local Islamic center with signs of love and compassion on 9-11. We are even hoping to break bread usin both Amercian and Islamic foods. Someone has to stand up and end all this nonsense. Will it be you?

Guys this Koran burning thing is outrageous. I was raised as to believe in Christ, but I believe the Koran is a Holy Book as so is the Bible, and ignorant, hateful people like the ones supporting this notion of Koran burning contradicts all the teachings of Christ Jesus, and those saying the Koran is evil are just plain stupid…im sure an ignorant Muslim could twist the truth into saying the Bible is evil…hate only breeds more hate. I tink you might have misunderstood my message that I posted earlier this week. Please allow me to first comment on your blog.I never said anything about a terror attack. As far as 9-11 goes i know that people of all faiths were either parrished or were injured. I do not presume to know who did the attack on 9-11 nor do I personaly care. I worry more and pray daily for all families and friends who lost someone that day. My husband was to be at the Pentagon that day but a Heavenly Host had that meeting cancelled. I praise God every day for that small blessing. I have vowed to try to bring Peace to my area of the World. I and several of my friends ( which by tha way served in the Middle East) do not agree with the carnage the the US has done to that part of the world. The Middle East is the home to the start to many many Religon’s. I see it as my home land by generational lines. What is happening in the Middle East is heart breaking, my family spend alot of time watching informational show’s on TV. Many of them have interviews with people who live in the Middle East. I can not even imagiin what it must be like to always be scared to sleep, eat, let childern outside to play or to Worship without being attacked. I think that is an aweful way to have to live. Someday the leaders who have done all of this evil will meet God and have to explian their action’s and I see many living a pit of fire for ever.I never said nor mean to apply that you were terroist, and if that’s what you think I doing the I am truly sorry. What I was tring to say is that you will find extremist’s in every orgainized group. For example we in the US have the KKK. What the hell is this pastor thinking? He has a following of just 50 people and is creating such a havoc. Is he even a Christian? I am an Indian Roman Catholic and I can’t beleive that this man who believes in Jesus Christ and in His goodness and forgiveness and unconditional love can do a thing like this! I’m neither Christian nor Muslim, nor am I American, despite living in the States at the moment, and I totally disagree with desecrating the religious text of any faith. To encourage this sort of behaviour is to spread hate and intolerance, neither of which should be encouraged. The Nazis burnt books based on religious hatred and it led to the deaths of millions of innocent people, that is not the sort of example we should follow.

As for those who make sweeping statements and generalisations about either side of this argument – all Muslims are NOT terrorists, if that were the case we would be facing approximately a billion terrorists on a daily basis, which, frankly, we’re not. Equally, all terrorists are NOT Muslims – having lived in London, which was subject to terrorist attacks from Catholic groups for over 30 years before 9-11 (largely funded by American money, incidentally), I can state this for a fact. I’m sure people in the Basque region of Spain who are also victims of Catholic terrorists, and again have been since long before 9-11, would also question the assertion that all terrorists are Muslims, or that 9-11 was the first serious terrorist attack the world has ever faced. EQUALLY, however, all Americans are not sluts/promiscuous/ignorant etc. Most Americans are outraged at the prospect of this act, just as most Muslims were outraged at the 9-11 attacks. Do not judge all by the actions of the few.

The Qu’ran is hugely important to a huge number of people, and the only time it advocates violence (as far as I’m aware, apologies if my lack of full knowledge causes offence) is when Allah instructs early Muslims to fight against those killing them in order to prevent the religion from dying out. Other than this, the Qu’ran teaches tolerance and forgiveness and makes it clear that Allah is the only ‘being’ who is in a position to make judgements. However, to those Christians who will use this as an excuse, let’s not forget that the Bible (and the Torah) advocates slavery, execution for mixing crops or fabrics (both in Leviticus) and also fighting to defend your religion (the Crusades are a prime example of Christians invading Muslim lands and executing massive numbers of innocent people all in the name of Christ). Both groups have in the past committed sins against the other, yet both are now comprised of largely peaceful, respectful people. Please do not allow something as inane and mindless as this to fuel hatred. Consider whether you want the legacy of 9-11 and the deaths of all those innocent people – of many faiths and nationalities – to really be one of hatred and vengeance, or whether we can try to be better than that and move into a more positive future.

Dave P – you need to get your facts straight. As a history teacher I can tell you quite categorically that Muslims were attacked by Christians long before they ever attacked Christian societies. Furthermore, the MAJORITY don’t live in caves, they live in houses, being people and whatnot… Some members of Al-Qaeda are currently hiding in cave networks, as are possibly some of the Taliban, but to assert that this is the MAJORITY of Muslims only shows your ignorance. If you want to put forward an argument in favour of burning books, at least make sure you have your facts correct. Also, Christians have the teaching of Crusade – fighting in the name of your religion. This is the same as Jihad, and just as most Christians today have never embarked on a crusade, most Muslims have never embarked on a jihad. Those that make the news represent a very small fraction of Muslims, just as Terry Jones represents a very small fraction of Christians.

As I said before, I don’t belong to either religion, so have no vested interest or ‘side’ in this debate, but I do have a conscience and I don’t think that you can ever justify causing hurt and offence to so many people. Leaving out entirely what overwhelming majority of “christendom” is teaching please know this you of Islamic faith. Salvation from everlasting judgement can not be earned by good works or by any efforts at all! Even to believe is a work that can not save if it was generated from our own thinking. Salvation is 100% God’s choice ONLY. He chooses among sinners whom He would save. He draws them out against their natural will. He takes away their heart of stone DEAD and replaces with a living heart. And all this is possible only because He provides a substitute to absorb the wrath that MUST come upon sinners! This is absorbed in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ ONLY who alone took the sins of His people and submitted Himself as guilty for all those sins and suffered without mercy as the substitute leaving all of His people white as snow as in comparing filthy garmets to clean. This is what the Bible pertains to and so if this was not your understanding then let it so be now and compare it with any other salvation plan known to man! There is but ONE that names the disease and the only cure rightly. But do not define things from what the large majority defines, rather let the Truth speak for itself in the Holy Scriptures. Beg God pitifully that in Christ your sins too might be washed away in Hi blood. Yes beg fervently in Jesus Name to God wi thout ceasing and who knows? God is so merciful, who knows? There is much hope in trusting in His mercy …not an iron clad recipe for salavation in any wise but rather great HOPE. Real hope!
